On Sunday I went to Catton Park with the West Midlands Driving Group for my first competition back after exams.
I started the day by driving the truck with horses in for the first time, now I have my HGV license.
Dressage went well, with Pebble making her comeback subbing for Woody after 2 years out. I have lots to work on but Pebble enjoyed being back out competing (even if she missed the fun bit).
Cones went well with 2 balls down, but the ponies kept a nice rhythm round a twisty course.
In the obstacles I made a couple of mistakes in the first 2 obstacles which meant we had to take extra circles, but we improved as went round.
Overall I came 3rd in a class full of pairs, so I am very pleased with the ponies. My mum and brother also competed, both coming second in their classes.
Thank you to everyone who helped run the event and made it so enjoyable.
